Our product lineup includes a comprehensive range of corporation brass setters and saddles made from no-lead brass, reflecting our dedication to environmental responsibility and product excellence.

Canadian Brass Company Limited 

Established in 1905 at 415 Dundas Street, Galt, Ontario, Canadian Brass Company Limited initially focused on manufacturing sink bibs (faucets), ground key brass valves, fittings, and municipal water distribution products. Over the years, operations expanded with a distribution warehouse in Red Deer, Alberta. The company saw ownership changes, becoming a subsidiary of Fittings Limited in 1952 and later falling under the control of Pedlar Fitting in 1977. 

Formation of Cambridge Brass 

In 1979, Galt Brass acquired Canadian Brass and merged the two entities into a state-of-the-art facility at 140 Orion Place, Galt, Ontario, rebranding as Cambridge Brass. This marked the beginning of a new era of growth and innovation for the company. 

Integration and Expansion 

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Cambridge Brass continued to expand its capabilities and product offerings. In 1986, it became part of EMCO Limited following the acquisition of Waltec Industries. By 1989, the company assumed the manufacturing responsibilities for stainless steel sinks and security ware previously handled by sister company Arista Newman, consolidating these operations in Canada. Production transitions from Metcraft and Kindred Industries were completed by 1993. In 1992, Masco Corporation acquired Cambridge Brass from EMCO, paving the way for further expansion and market diversification. The company expanded into the US waterworks market in 1994 and shifted the manufacturing of Institution and Laboratory product lines to Delta Faucet Company in 1995. 

Innovative Growth 

In 1999, Cambridge Brass acquired the Hays Waterworks Brass line from Lee Brass, Anniston, Alabama, enhancing its production capabilities, including meter setters. This acquisition involved relocating two production lines to Cambridge Brass and adapting casting and machining processes to accommodate the new product line. 

 Commitment to Sustainability 

      Cambridge Brass signed its first contract for no-lead waterworks      products with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power      (LADWP) in 2000, underscoring its commitment to environmental      sustainability and innovation in product development. 

 Milestones and Expansion 

 In 2005, Cambridge Brass celebrated its 100th anniversary, a testament to its enduring legacy and dedication to excellence in the waterworks industry. The company was acquired by A.Y. McDonald   Industries in 2006, ushering in a new phase of strategic development     and operational growth. 

 Facility Enhancements 

 In 2008, Cambridge Brass expanded its facilities with a 12,000 sq. ft. product warehouse and electrical upgrades at its Cambridge location, enhancing capacity for future growth and efficiency. 

 Continued Advancements 

 In 2013, Cambridge Brass Integrated stainless steel saddle production into its Cambridge facility, further optimizing manufacturing processes and expanding its product offerings. 

Regional Expansion 

The company established a Western Canada warehouse in Surrey, BC, in 2014, focusing exclusively on producing waterworks products from no-lead materials, reinforcing Cambridge Brass's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
